Utbildning inom GML teknik för implementering av INSPIRE regelverk

e- learning kurs ges baserad på GeoTest erfarenheter från transformationstester av fem teman (adresser, fastighetsområden, ortnamn, hydrografi och transportnätverk) i Inspire direktivets bilaga1.

Utbildningen vänder sig till myndigheter som nu håller på att anpassa sin data- och leveransmiljö för att kunna leverera geodata enligt Inspires regelverk. Syftet är att förmedla kunskap och förståelse för GML-baserad teknologi för schema matchning och -mappning där Inspires implementeringsregler skall tillämpas.

Kursstart: den 21 januari 2010 - en halv dags förberedelseseminarium vid FPX i Gävle av kursens handledare Imad Abugessaisa.

Efterföljande två veckor genomförs webbaserat - audio recorded- vid den egna myndigheten, med handledarstöd. Kursmaterial och handledning är på engelska.

Kursen består av fem delar:

Del 1: Introduktion till XML: XML syntax, element och attribut. DTD, XSL, XPath. XML parsers and editors
Del2: Introduktion till GML: Feature schemas, geometry schemas. (Simple features, Spatial Reference Systems etc)
Del3: Skapa källschema och GML filer. VB Scripting, FME,kvalitets kontroll
Del4: Schema matchning och mappning. Underlag, INSPIRE data specifikationer, översättningstabeller, Altova MapForce, kvalitets kontroll.
Del5: Schema transformation. Verktyg, utförande, kvalitetskontroll.

E-learning course

EuroSDR course: Schema matching, mapping and transformation for INSPIRE

EduServ7, the seventh round of the annual EuroSDR short distance e-learning courses, has begun with a 2-days pre-course seminar in Ås, Norway from May 18th to May 19th hosted by The Norwegian University of Life Sciences in Ås. In the two-day seminar in Ås the participants have received guidance and background in the topic areas prior to commencing the courses.

The courses are of two-week duration each and require approximately thirty hours of on-line participation. From the 9th August till the 21st of August, the course is up and running with around 20 participants from Europe. The participants are students from universities and professional government authority and private companies.

The objective of this course is to provide a basic understanding of XML-based technologies for schema matching, mapping and transformation in the context of the INSPIRE implementation rules. You can read more about the course.
